Reduce Manual Sampling

Non-Invasive Monitoring of Cell Growth

The integrated single-use sensor patch permits on-line monitoring of viable biomass, using capacitance, inside our bioreactor bags and reduces the contamination risk and effort to take samples. Operator-to-operator variability in cell counts belong to the past. Benefit from increased batch-to-batch consistency, for example, with regard to reproducible determination of point of inoculation of the next larger bioreactor.

Excellent and Reproducible Cell Growth is Cell Line and Bag Dependent

An independent Dechema working group studied a number of single use bags with a panel of different cell lines and serum or protein free media and found that certain bags showed impaired cell growth of some cell lines. With Sartorius new polyethylene film S80 (6) and also new EVA film S71 (4), excellent and reproducible growth was achieved.
