Frequently Asked Questions
Tip Sampling Program is available for a range of Optifit and Safety Space tips. A sample for other pipette tip may be provided on a case-by-case basis. Please fill the contact form and your sales your Sales Representative will contact you to confirm your pipetting requirements.
Tip Sampling Program is restricted to one redemption per customer. However, we understand that different applications may call for different pipette tip. Hence, additional samples may be provided at the discretion of Sartorius and on a case-by-case basis. Once you have requested a sample, your Sales Representative will contact you to confirm your pipetting requirements.
First determine whether you need sterile pipette tips. Consider the characteristics of the liquids you are working with. For aqueous liquids use standard tips. In applications where protecting samples from cross contamination is critical consider using filtered pipette tips. For viscous or otherwise challenging liquids, it is advisable to test that pipette and tip system for specific application. For further support, please contact your Sales Representative.
Sartorius pipette tips are sterilized to SAL 10-6 (sterility assurance level) using electron beam (beta irradiation) in accordance with EN 552 and ISO 11137.
The plastic resin used in manufacturing of pipette tips is tested according to USP661.1 chapter 88 - USP Biological Reactivity tests, In Vivo for a Class VI plastic and according to chapter 87 - Biological Reactivity Tests, in Vitro for polymeric materials.
