Incucyte® Software (v2026A) for Live-Cell Analysis
The Incucyte® Software v2026A release expands imaging flexibility and strengthens support for advanced live-cell workflows. With enhanced capabilities for 3D imaging, confocal acquisition, and experiment data management, this update enables researchers to design more flexible experiments and gain deeper insights from complex cell models.
What new in v2026A
New Imaging Capabilities for the Incucyte® CX3 Platform
Enhanced 3D Imaging Workflows
New Z-range parameters provide greater control when capturing multi-plane confocal fluorescence images of 3D models such as spheroids and organoids.
Enhanced Imaging and Analysis for Spheroid and Organoid Workflows
The introduction of Mean projection, alongside the existing Max projection, provides greater flexibility when visualizing and analyzing confocal Z-stack images of spheroid* and organoid* models.
Spheroid – Applicable to Single Spheroid, On Top Multi Spheroid, Embedded Multi Spheroid. Organoid – Applicable to Organoid Assay.
Expanded Confocal Imaging Support
Confocal fluorescence imaging is now available for Standard and AI scan types, providing greater flexibility when designing experiments on the CX3 platform.
Expanded Application Support on CX3
Several commonly used 2D workflows previously available on S-Series systems are now supported on CX3, including Incucyte® ImageLock, Incucyte® Chemotaxis, and Incucyte® Whole-Well imaging.
Improved Data Management Across Incucyte Systems
Auto Backup Capability
Incucyte® software now includes Auto Backup, available at no additional cost for Incucyte® S3, SX5, and CX3 systems. Auto Backup automatically copies acquisition data shortly after scans complete, helping ensure that original scan images and essential metadata are securely saved to a designated storage location.
