HEK ViP NB is a chemically defined, animal-component-free, serum free and hydrolysate-free medium. It was developed for cultivation of HEK293 and other mammalian cell lines, with a special focus on transfection applications and virus production (e.g. AAV production and lentivirus production) in suspension , making it the perfect choice for your gene therapy applications. The medium is especially suited for transient transfection with e.g. polycationic transfection reagents such as polyethylenimine (PEI). It contains essential level of nutrients and no growth factors. It can be used in research or in manufacturing applications and all steps such as thawing, expanding, pre-complexing DNA, transfecting and producing steps can be performed in the same medium, regardless of the production scale.
