SIMCA® and SIMCA®-online compatibility issues (Q904)
Summary:
This article gives an overview of the compatibility issues present in SIMCA® 15 and SIMCA®-online 15.
Symptoms:
File format: A project created in SIMCA® 15.0.1 or SIMCA®-online 15.0.1 cannot be used for predictions in SIMCA® 15.0.0 nor SIMCA®-online 15.0.0.
Dynamic lags: There may be small differences in the results from models using dynamic lags between SIMCA® 15.0.0/15.0.1 and SIMCA®-online 15.0.1 (first version with dynamic lags).

Workaround:
Dynamic lags: Use SIMCA® 15.0.2 in combination with SIMCA®-online 15.0.1 or later for models with dynamic lags.
Batch models:Use SIMCA® 15.0.2 in combination with any SIMCA®-online 15 version andespecially if the projects include batch level models.
More Information:
File format: The usp-file format was broken between SIMCA® 15.0.0 and 15.0.1. This means that:
- Projectscreated in SIMCA® 15.0.1 are compatible with SIMCA®-online 15.0.1 but not with SIMCA® 15.0.0 nor SIMCA®-online 15.0.0. That is also the case for projects created in SIMCA®-online 15.0.1.
- Projects created in SIMCA® 15.0.2 are compatible with all SIMCA®-online 15-versions.
Dynamic lags: The calculations behind the handling of dynamic lags were improved after the release of SIMCA® 15.0.0 and SIMCA®-online 15.0.0.
