How to open a workspace from the command line (Q753)
Summary:
The products listed above can open a specified workspace when the program is started by supplying the name of a workspace on the command line in for example a shortcut.
A workspace is a collection of open configurations including all open plots. See the User Guide for more information.
The syntax is: SIMCA®onlineclient.exe [-w workspace] where workspace is the name of the workspace, excluding extension. Surround the workspace name with "" if it contains spaces. Replace SIMCA®onlineclient.exe with SBOLView.exe for SIMCA®-Batch On-Line.
More Information:
SIMCA®-online will still require the user to log on to the server. There is no way around this for security reasons. SIMCA®-Batch On-Line does not require login but if you have multiple servers you may want to go to View | General Options and configure the Startup option (under Miscellaneous) to prompt you for which server to connect to (rather than defaulting to the last server connected to).
