As the Process Engineer, you will develop and implement solutions to production problems and will perform troubleshooting to production equipment, machine and ancillary support equipment to solve day to day production problem.

This is an onsite position in Marlborough, MA

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will troubleshoot process equipment issues.
  • You will assist with implementing, controlling, and optimizing hollow fiber and cartridge production processes.
  • You will utilize your knowledge to write and revise procedures.
  • Use your knowledge and abilities to provide training to production operators.
  • On a weekly basis, you will work to maintain stock levels of the critical spare parts needed in the manufacturing process.
  • One of your tasks will be monitoring equipment, and overseeing maintenance, regular testing and equipment cleaning.
  • Generate documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols.
  • In the event of a production problem, you will assist internal/external Technicians in troubleshooting.
  • You will handle the data collection, interpretation, and reports writing.
  • Present equipment and production data and reports to senior colleagues and management.
  • Oversight of new equipment installation.
  • You will oversee the risk assessment of equipment and processes; in addition to the continual evaluation to ensure both efficiency and high quality.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.
  • You will have the ability to travel to our other sites within the US (up to 15% domestic travel).

What will convince us:

  • You have completed a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Chemical, Biochemical, Life Science, Biopharmaceutical, or a related discipline.
  • You possess 5+ years’ engineering experience (preferably in the Biopharmaceutical industry)
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements associated with cGMP manufacturing. (Background in biotech processes and cGMP requirements is preferred).
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and engineering standards and guidelines, such as: GAMP, BPE guidelines, and ASME.
  • Ability to interpret PFD’s, P&ID’s, Electrical Schematics, and detailed design documents.

We Value:

  • Experience implementing single use bioprocessing equipment into manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written & verbal) are essential to meet the requirements of this role.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms (i.e., Allen-Bradley, Emerson, and Siemens) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Visio.
