In Germany, we accept unsolicited applications. Please change your language settings in order to visit our German website for more information.
In other regions, please review our latest vacancies directly online. If you do not find a position, you also have the option of setting up a job alert. You will then be informed about any new job openings that match your selected criteria.

United States: We welcome applications from candidates who meet the minimum requirements stipulated for the advertised position.
If the job advertisement is in English, we recommend that you apply in English. However, all applications will be assessed on suitability for the position in question.
United States: If someone applies for a position in the U.S. in a language other than English, unless otherwise stipulated in the posting, the application will not be progressed. It is generally a requirement that for any position in the U.S. the candidate will be able to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in the English language.
We will consider your application with or without a cover letter. A cover letter does afford you an additional opportunity to describe your motivation and relate why you would like to work at Sartorius. It can also provide you with an opportunity to further differentiate yourself from other candidates. Application Process
You will likely have a video interview with someone on the recruiting team first, and later a face-to-face interview with the direct supervisor or manager. In some cases, you will meet the relevant team and, for some management positions, senior management or board members. For some positions, we will also ask you to provide samples of your work. Our recruiting team will guide you through the entire process and provide you with the necessary information and details for your position in a timely manner.

Usually a representative of our Human Resources team and | or the hiring manager will participate.
It depends on the position. If the interview takes place in English, you will be notified early in the process.
You will be requested to attend an assessment center if you are applying for a Sartorius scholarship or admission to one of our vocational training programs. In addition, we may also use assessment centers for other roles on occasion. In this case, we will notify you in advance of the specific details.
United States: In the US, as a federal contractor, for compliance purposes we do not use assessments unless they have been validated for the specific job and proven to be a bona-fide predictor of someone’s success in the role.
Job Applicant Portal
Yes, you can also use your entries for further applications. Good to know: The information you entered in the application portal is saved in your profile and can be edited at any time. If you make changes there, they will be automatically applied to your next application.
You can manage your applications in the section entitled "My Applications". To withdraw an application, select it and click on “Delete”. Please also inform your contact at our Human Resources Department if communication has already started. We would also appreciate it if you could briefly tell us your reasons for withdrawing. Please note: A deleted application cannot be restored.
You can track the current status of your application at any time in the candidate portal. If you have not heard from us even after a long time, your application is still being processed. We take the time to review every application in detail. Sometimes, therefore, the process takes longer. Thank you for your understanding.
We recommend to upload your documents in PDF format. The file size of each individual attachment should not exceed 15 MB.
Use the function "Forgot password" to have a new password sent to you by email. To do this, please enter your registered email address when logging in, and click on the corresponding box.
Yes. Your data will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. You can learn more about this here.
Your data will be retained until you delete your profile. If you have not logged into our system for more than 6 months, your data will automatically be deleted. However, you will be notified by email before this happens so that you can prevent deletion of your account if you would like to do so.
Yes. With the help of our job alerts, you can obtain regular email updates about newly listed job vacancies. You can set criteria for these automatic updates in your candidate profile. If a suitable position is advertised, you will be notified.

It is important to us that you feel comfortable from day one, and this includes finding your way around quickly. We support your familiarization process with an online platform that provides you with the most important information right from the start: About the company, our goals and our culture. Workshops are also held at many locations where you can network directly with other new employees.

Yes. If there is no other agreement, the probation period at Sartorius is three months. During this time, you also have the opportunity to see if the job and the company fit your expectations.
United States: There is no probationary period in the United States.
How often you can work remotely depends on the position and business needs. Often the job posting will indicate whether a position is remote, hybrid, or onsite. For example, jobs that can be performed entirely from home are marked accordingly. We do our best to provide flexible working situations wherever possible. You are also welcome to bring up the subject in your job interview.
Germany: Employees whose function permits working remotely are entitled to work from home one day per week. In consultation with the manager, additional home office days are possible in many cases.
Yes. Sartorius offers a digital mentoring marketplace for all employees, where mentees can meet with mentors worldwide and exchange ideas on a regular basis.
