The Financial Accountant will be responsible for handling AP and AR, timely accounts closing and related job scope of Singapore operations. The holder of this position will support financial decision-making by overseeing financial information and tax payments and assisting in internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform full Accounts Receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) for Singapore accounts
• Assist in various aspects of general accounting including journal entry development and account reconciliation
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
• Accrual and follow up with the overdue and open AP items
• Closely monitor and follow up all outstanding payments
• Generate and review monthly reports
• Monthly AP and AR statement issue and reconciliation with customers
• Ensure timely invoicing and billing to customers & inter-company transactions
• Verify the validity of account discrepancies
• Perform and analysis credit assessment of customers
• Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
• Review staff expenses and process expense reports
• Update currency exchange rates of every calendar month
• Involve in month-end, year-end closing
• Assist statutory audit, internal audit and tax audit
• To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and comply with the workplace safety and health and security policy.
• Undertake any relevant tasks as may be directed by the superior from time to time.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in finance, accounting or similar background
• Entry level candidate is encourage to apply
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred
• Team work plus good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good command of spoken and written English
