We are looking for an Expert Product Compliance & Hazardous Substances (x|f|m) for the Quality & Regulatory Compliance CCM at Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and implementing global and regional guidelines based on the GHS Directive (CLP, HCS) for the classification and labeling of hazardous substances as well as other chemical regulations such as REACH, RoHS, TSCA or CalProp65. The team consists of four professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is limited to one year and available full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Goettingen, with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

Grow with usYour Responsibilities

  • You will enter and maintain all master data for hazardous substances and materials in SAP EHS and classify them at the master data level

  • You will create safety data sheets in the context of global GHS requirements

  • Additionally, you will conduct research activities on the legal requirements of the respective target markets

  • You will further develop the SAP EHSM for mapping compliance data and analyze the product portfolio with regards to the compliance status for various target markets

  • Acting as an advisor to colleagues and project partners, you will provide guidance on product classifications and labeling within an international context

What will convince us

  • You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences, preferably in the field of chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology

  • In addition you have several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field; ideally supplemented by specialist knowledge in hazardous substances/hazardous materials management

  • You have the expertise to prepare safety data sheets

  • You have extensive knowledge about chemical regulations and the RoHS, REACH, CLP and GHS regulations

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the global multimodal transportation of dangerous goods

  • You have in-depth knowledge of data maintenance and the technical functionality of SAP EHS and EHSM

  • You are confident in using MS Office applications, especially Excel, and have a high affinity for working in databases

  • You describe your way of working as systematic and extremely independent

  • You round off your profile with reliability, commitment and a highly developed service mindset

  • You are fluent in English and have a very good command of German, further language skills are desirable
