The Sartoflow® 5000 MU and 10,000 MU are modular tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems designed for ultrafiltration (UF) and diafiltration (DF) in downstream bioprocessing. It is suitable for clinical-scale and commercial-scale production, purification of monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, recombinant proteins, and blood & plasma.
"MU" refers to Multi-Use, indicating that the system is designed for repeated use with appropriate cleaning and sterilization protocols, as opposed to single-use systems.
The Sartoflow® 5000 MU system supports TFF flatsheet cassette membranes with up to 7 m2 filter area.
Depending on the choice of TFF filter holder, the Sartoflow® 10,000 MU system supports TFF flatsheet cassette membranes with up to 14 (standard holder), up to 21 (extended holder), or up to 28 m2 (large holder) filter area.
