New in version 18
SIMCA-Q 18 enables support for SIMCA 18 projects with the new features steady state models and calibration transfer. The bundled Python version is updated to version 3.10.2. We also improved the documentation and bundled sample code.
Supported platforms and system requirements
SIMCA-Q runs on different hardware and software platforms:
- Windows on x64 PCs running supported on versions of Windows 11 or Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016 or 2012 R2, and is available both as 64-bit and 32-bit versions. The 64-bit version is recommended.
- Ubuntu Linux on x64 hardware (PCs). A SIMCA-Q Linux build was developed, tested, and validated on Ubuntu 20 and 22. It has also been briefly tested on Rock Linux 8. Not supported with older Linux versions such as RedHat 8, CentOS 8 and Ubuntu 18.
- Linux on ARM. We offer custom builds for ARM architectures. Contact us for more information.
Pandas, Scipy and Numpy which can be used for preprocessing scripts are included in only the 64-bit Windows version of SIMCA-Q. The Linux versions do not have support for Python preprocessing scripts.
SIMCA projects files from SIMCA 16 – 18 are supported.
Programming interfaces
SIMC-Q is controlled by other software. Developers of that software use either a Windows COM interface (available only on Windows) or a C programming interface (available on all platforms) to access the functionality of SIMCA-Q.

Contact us to obtain a license for testing SIMCA-Q in your systems, as SIMCA-Q does not work without a license.

About licensing
To run SIMCA-Q 18, a license is required. The license specifies available features and can optionally have an expiry date. A license for a previous version does not work.
Release date
The full version number of this release for Windows is 18.0.0.267. It was released May 17, 2023 for Windows. Linux versions were built on the same code base, but with different build tools.
Validation
SIMCA-Q has been fully validated. The validation report and the validation package are available on the SIMCA-Q product page. To unzip the validation page you need a password which you get from your sales representative.
