SIMCA-online Web Client 17.1

The SIMCA®-online Web Client is a web-based solution for monitoring production in mobile or desktop browsers, and for displaying details about alarms and resetting them after clicking a link in a notification email. Users log in with their SIMCA®-online user names and passwords.

SIMCA®-online Web Client 17.1 is an update to SIMCA-online 16.1.2 to SIMCA-online 17.0.x servers.

Changes in Web Client 17.1

• X/Y scatter charts that enable:
  • Worm plots for continuous projects and for batch evolution charts, and
  • Generic X/Y scatter charts for batch level.
• Downloading chart data as a CSV file
• Filtering improvements for Production and Units:
  • Quick filtering buttons
  • Logical operators for multiple phrases
• Search server supports Find by batch name and specific project configuration
• Tooltips include timestamps for evolution charts and continuous operations charts
• Maintain X-axis zoom when changing or adding Y data vector in chart.
  • As a side effect we had to remove the toolbar button for Reset zoom. Instead double-click to zoom out.
• SIMCA-online aliases
  • Are now displayed by default instead of variable names for project configuration that have aliases. Tooltips show variable name.
  • Setting toggles aliases/variable names. If the setting is off, aliases are displayed in tooltips. Tip: on mobile devices, long press to see tooltips
• Default vector for charts when clicking a phase, batch level model or continuous operation can be configured
  • Default can be set to DModX, Scores (t) and Hotelling's T2 (T2Range)
• New Settings page, on the main menu
  • Contains the new settings for aliases and default data vector.
  • Can restart the onboarding tour
  • Settings are saved in the browser, and do not follow the user between browsers

Downloading and installing the upgrade

As the SIMCA-online Web Client 17.1 is an upgrade, you install it manually on an existing SIMCA-online server that has an older Web Client.

1. Download the SIMCA-onlineWebClient_17.1.0.336.zip.
2. Read the Web Client Installation Guide.pdf in the zip file and follow the instructions in 2.5 Upgrading and existing SIMCA-online server.
