Q-Level for Motorized Leveling:

Activated at the Touch of a Key or Fully Automatically

Exact leveling of a lab balance is a key part of monitoring and controlling the accuracy of your inspection, measuring and test equipment, and is essential for reliable readings.

Cubis® is the first lab balance that automatically checks whether it is level, as well as performs and documents its own exact leveling procedure. All it takes is just one touch of a key or fully automatic activation of the isoCAL function, and your Cubis® will be perfectly level.

Q-Guide for Easy and Error-free Operation

The Q-Guide user interface of Cubis® MSA and MSU makes it easy for you to configure your balance to suit your needs. It guides you interactively throughout all the setting options and workflows for each task, displaying only what you need to know –  so you won't get sidetracked by the non-essentials.

The Task and User Management function enables you to assign tasks and user rights. As a result, this will give you the ultimate in traceability, preventing accidental changes to the balance settings.

Q-Com for Communication without Limits

All Cubis® balances have three standard-equipped interface ports (USB, RS232C, Ethernet [not on MSE]) and three optional ports (Bluetooth, PS/2, RS232C), enabling nearly any type of bidirectional communication.

Cubis® is standard-equipped to support serial and SICS communication protocols. You can therefore have your balance communicate with other manufacturer's software. Used with the MSA display and control unit, Cubis® can optionally communicate over XML (see Web Communication).

Cubis® MSA features web services communication as an option. This standardized communication technology permits external software systems, such as LIMS, ELN, etc., to show and use information, input fields, menus  or complex operations on the touch screen of the MSA display of the balance. This eliminates the need to install PCs, laptops or terminals in the direct vicinity of your balance.

You can choose the amount and content of the data and information to be printed as you prefer. The Sartorius YDP30 printer even lets you print bar codes and QR codes.

Q-Stat Ionizer

The ionizer integrated into the DI draft shield, Q-Stat, eliminates interfering electrostatic charges on samples or sample containers at the touch of a key. The effective principle that uses four ion blower nozzles guarantees that no interfering air currents are generated during charge neutralization. This ensures that you will obtain stable and correct weighing results  – independently of the ambient conditions.

Q-Grid – Weighing in a Fume Hood

This gridded weighing pan, Q-Grid (accessory option YWP03MS) is available for all Cubis® models with a readability of 10 mg and 100 mg, except for model 5202S. A first, Q-Grid lets you operate a balance with a large pan under laminar flow in safety weighing cabinets, workbenches or even in fume hoods, without any restrictions in the performance of the balance.  This will make your work in pharmaceutical labs much easier.

Cubis Dosing - Preparation of Standards

To determine the concentration of unknown samples standards of defined concentration are used. Standards must be produced as precise as possible in order to keep the error in the concentration measurement of unknown samples low. Cubis® MSA individually with Q-App-Dosing software is a fully automatic system with gravimetric control of all measured values, including an optional interface for Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ 7.2 Chromatography Data System (CDS) software. The Q-App-Dosing software automatically adjusts the solvents volume to the sample weight and determines the verified final concentration of the standard solution by measuring gravimetrical the effectively added solvent weight.
