You will be part of the team of Sales Development Specialists and you will be commercially responsible for a sales territory within a designated part of our product portfolio (Focused and New products). You are results-oriented and agile to respond to changing market conditions. As a collaborative partner to the Account Management organization, you are an excellent team player, communicator, and motivator.

You are results-oriented and agile to respond to changing market conditions. As a collaborative partner to the Account Management organization, you are an excellent team player, communicator, and motivator.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Achieve or exceed revenue, growth and strategic field targets (trials, demos, samples, opportunities, etc) for the area of responsibility. Proactively identify and drive commercial initiatives in support of the targets. Acquire new and expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet Customer’s needs and Sartorius’s strategy.
  • Manage the short- and long-term opportunity funnel & sales process for your area of responsibility: lead identification, strategic evaluation, selling cycle, resulting business impact and best commercial-technical solution
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, most notably Account Management and Technical Support teams
  • Lead & opportunity generation: Conduct research and actively identify potential leads, e.g. through target customer lists, and convert leads into opportunities, as well as executing/initiating test/demos/URS analysis/trials/technical closure at customer
  • Seeding strategy development & implementation: Develop seeding strategies, campaigns, approaches, pilots and drives implementation/product adoption
  • Tracking and reporting: Continuously monitor and track the progress of seeding activities and technical product performance

Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science/Biotechnology discipline or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-year sales and account management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or 3 years selling relevant technologies into a parallel industry
  • Solid negotiation, organizational, problem-solving and influencing skills
  • Result-oriented and highly motivated
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Ability to manage complex issues using innovation and processes
  • Excellent communication skills
