Robotic Arm Technology - Dual Arm System

The comb-type weight grabbers (Dual Arm System) are designed so that any desired types of weight – wire or leaf weights or knob, cylindrical or disk weights – can be handled efficiently, with special anti-slip finishing.

Error Free Weight Sorting (CCR-C)

The weight sorting plate designed especially for these systems allows easy and error free processing of the large number of weights. Each row and column is labelled and is identically to the labeling on the weight magazine. Additionally, each row is removable which further supports intuitive and efficient weight handling.

Integrated Climate Sensor

The CCR robot systems are equipped as standard with YCM20MC climate modules, which means that all climate parameters relevant for a mass comparison are available.

Centermatic

Centermatic ensures that the Weight of a mass is always consistently and centrally applied to the built-in EMC cell of the mass comparator. As a result, the position-dependent measuring error of the mass comparator is substantially reduced and the repeatability of the measurements are significantly enhanced.

Centermatic built-in for CCR1000 and CCR10-1000 (Only for 10 g – 1 kg)

Applications for Robotic Mass Comparators

weight sets

Mass Dissemination by Subdivision

Subdivision (dissemination of mass for class RS and E1 weights). Weight grabbers accommodate a group of up to four weights. Groups of weights are placed on the weighing pan simultaneously, guaranteeing fast loading of the mass comparator with reference and test weights.

Flexible Upscaling and Gap coverage CCR10-1000

Thanks to the modular design of the robot system, the device can be adapted to customer requirements accordingly. The range of functions can also be extended at any time: The application range covers weights from 1 mg up to 10 g (CCR10) or 10 g up to 1 kg (CCR1000) and from 1 mg up to 1 kg in the maximum level of expansion (CCR10-1000). The number of magazine positions is specified by the customer: Up to 163 magazine positions can be provided for the range of 1 mg to 1 kg.

Frequently Asked Questions

CCR robotic systems are automated platforms that use a collaborative robot to perform repetitive handling tasks.

  • Floor standing CCR systems: integrated on a stable base placed on the floor, suitable for larger work envelopes and multi instrument automation cells.
  • Table top CCR systems: compact units designed to sit on lab benches or small automation islands, ideal for space constrained environments.

No, a PC is not part of the scope of supply.

Yes. For both instruments an upgrade kit (Y1000UPGRADE or Y10UPGRADE) is available to expand the instrument’s capability to 1000 g or 10 g.

Yes. Using magazine extensions for reference weights (Y10R or Y1000R) or weights to be measured (Y10M or Y100M) the instrument’s capacity can be increased.

Requirements typically include:

  • Stable, level floor capable of supporting system weight and dynamic load
  • Adequate electrical power and network access
  • Environmental conditions within specified temperature/humidity ranges
  • Sufficient clearance around the robot to ensure operator & maintenance access, and good access to the emergency button
