Summary:

When installing the software listed in the beginning of this article using a license server, the location of this license server can be included when re-packing the installation.

More Information:

The software stores information about type of license (local or network) and the location of the license server in a file called UmetricsLicensePaths.xml. The file is located in the “C:\ProgramData\Umetrics”. NOTE! "ProgramData" is an hidden folder

In cases where the installation is re-packed and a license server is used for licensing, one may want to also include this file in the installation, so that the end users can start using the software without additional configuration. To create a such a file, do the following:

1. Install the software on one machine
2. Configure it to use the license server, giving the correct host (and port)
3. Close the software
4. Start the software to verify that the configuration is correct.

The created UmetricsLicensePaths.xml can then be used for all installed copies that should use the same license server.
