Predict batch when setting 'Keep batch active for late entry data' is used results in empty predictions (Q948)

Symptoms
You don't get predictions for a batch after using Predict on the Administration tab. 
 
Cause
The setting 'Keep batch active for late entry data' has been configured in the project configuration. This incorrectly causes predictions to fail when a finished batch is predicted using Administration > Predict.
 
Note that this does not affect normal, real-time execution of a batch. In that case the Late data setting works as expected.
 
Workaround
Edit the configuration, to temporarily change 'Keep batch active for late entry data' to Not configured, and then predict the batches. Then change back to your original setting to allow real-time batches to work with late entry data.
 
Resolution
This problem was fixed in SIMCA-online 16.1.2.
