SIMCA-online Web Client 18.1

The SIMCA®-online Web Client is a web-based solution for monitoring production in mobile or desktop browsers, and for displaying details about alarms and resetting them after clicking a link in a notification email. Users log in with their SIMCA-online user names and passwords.

SIMCA-online Web Client 18.1 is installed with SIMCA-online 18.1.

Changes in Web Client 18.1

Reference batches: Batch level and batch evolution charts can show workset and predictionset batches, from a new Reference Batches tab in the batch drawer.
YPred confidence intervals: Batch level and continuous charts (and tooltips) show confidence intervals for predicted Y values. Can be toggled in the settings.
Date-time picker for end time in chart: The continuous chart end time is selected using a date-time picker, making it simpler and faster to input an end time, especially on mobile. The picker is prefilled with the current time if no end time is set (when displaying current data).
Maximize plot area: The plot area can be maximized in order to freely reshape the plot by reshaping the browser window.
About and Help: Separate About and Help pages.
Updated built-in help:
- Search: Enabled search in all section by expanding all sections on Ctrl+F/Cmd+F or using expand/collapse.
- Auto-expand contextual help sections on mobile. (Bug 58744)
- Open help sidebar on login page using the Help button.
Chart axis labels:
- Show X axis label if it won't interfere with limit legend below chart.
- Show left Y axis label if chart has only one Y vector.
- Show both left and right Y axis labels if chart has two Y vectors and "Multiple Y-axes" is enabled.
Color by:
- Continuous: Identify data series in charts by either only color or by color and symbol
- Batch: Identify batches and variables by color or symbols respectively.
Filtering: Filter out reset alarms for continuous executions.

Fixed reported issues

Fixed: Numerical batch IDs formatted using scientific notation instead of text. (Bug 56901)
Fixed: Re-introduced multiple y-axis button in plot toolbar. (Bug 57729)
Fixed: Introduced excluded variables that are part of a generated variable. (Bug 57777)
Fixed: Configured target value limits without alarm type specified did not show up (Bug 59746)
Fixed: Switching between different variables too quickly could make web client unresponsive (Bug 57247)

Compatibility with SIMCA-online servers

SIMCA-online Web Client 18.1 is designed for SIMCA-online 18.1 and bundled with the server installation.

The Web Client can also obtain data from SIMCA-online servers 16.1, 17.0 and 18.0 (with limited functionality) by specifying the address of the server on the login screen of the Web Client.
