Poster: Integrating 3D Spheroid Models and Live-Cell Analysis for Compound Screening

Authors: Nicola Bevan, Alpana Prajapat, Jasmine Trigg, Gillian Lovell

What to Expect:

This study explores the integration of 3D spheroid models with live-cell analysis for drug screening, focusing on 880 FDA-approved drugs. Using A549 Nuclight Red cells, researchers assessed spheroid growth and viability over time with the Incucyte® Live-Cell Analysis System.

The Incucyte® CX3 system enhances drug screening by offering advanced multi-colour imaging capabilities, which significantly improve data visualization and analysis. This system allows researchers to capture detailed images of spheroid models, facilitating the identification of distinct compound effects on cell viability and morphology.

The CX3's ability to provide high-resolution, multi-channel images enables a more comprehensive understanding of drug interactions within 3D cellular environments. This technological advancement supports more accurate phenotypic screening, aiding in the discovery and development of effective therapeutic agents by providing clearer insights into cellular responses to various compounds.
