In 1994, Sartorius established a fully owned subsidiary in India. The site started off with manufacturing filtration equipment and soon focused on manufacturing stainless steel components and fermentation systems.

Over the years, it has significantly expanded its portfolio to include the engineering and manufacturing of single-use bioreactors, filtration systems, as well as syringe filters.
