As part of a student integration program, the participants from IEEE visited the M'hamdia site, where Sartorius manufactures fluid management technologies. After a short presentation and getting to know Sartorius as a global company, they had the chance to explore the growing production facility including clean rooms and laboratories during a guided site tour.

"This visit is about more than just providing information about the company, its organization and its products -  this visit is a real opportunity for us to support the students in their choice of career path and to show them what internship and employment opportunities we have at Sartorius," said Ali Kedidi, who leads the internal training school in M'hamdia.

Extending university partnerships in Tunisia

Up until now, the M'hamdia site has been welcoming an average of 15 interns per year. At the end of their internship, nearly half of them join Sartorius Tunisia permanently - a sustainable approach to attract talent and reason for the company to extend its collaborations with institutes and school: Recently, Sartorius signed a partnership agreement with the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (INSAT) in Tunis. "With these collaborations, we aim to attract more students for internships or for end-of-studies projects in the years to come. Recruiting an intern allows us to engage socially and economically as a company by helping students to enter the job market. It also helps us to create a pool of competent recruits who are already trained in our businesses processes ," Ali concludes.
