"Deutschlandstipendium" scholarship: Sartorius supports students

Sartorius is once again supporting twelve students from five universities in Lower Saxony with the "Deutschlandstipendium" scholarship in 2022. The award ceremonies took place at the end of the year, including at the University of Göttingen's event in the historic auditorium.
The students will receive a monthly grant of 300 euros for two semesters, with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Sartorius each contributing half. The scholars were not only selected for their outstanding academic achievements, but also for their social commitment.
Sartorius has been committed to the Deutschlandstipendium initiative, which was modelled after the principle of public-private partnership by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, since its introduction in 2011. And the company offers far more than financial support for the students.
For Alina Behre, it provided her with guidance and a path for her professional career. She received the scholarship while studying for her master's degree in Marketing and Channel Management at the University of Göttingen, and she joined Sartorius one year later.
"The scholarship really helped me in learning about what I expected of my future employer and in choosing the company I wanted to work for later," she says. "Sartorius was very engaging during the program. It wasn't just the financial support we received, but also the opportunity to gain insights into the company and its different functions – e.g., through networking meetings with experts from sales, marketing, or logistics. It was important to me that my future job would suit me. In addition to the interesting tasks, it was the people at Sartorius that convinced me with their openness. I knew: This is the right place for me, this is where I want to start my career."

Today, Alina is part of the Global Trainings team and works as a Learning Consultant at the Training Center on the Sartorius Campus in Göttingen. "I am responsible for designing and conducting workshops and trainings to create engaging learning content for our internal employees as well as external customers. Putting the learner's needs and interests right at the heart of any learning solution is essential for me to ensure a successful outcome", Alina says. "I’ve come a long way since the scholarship, and I can only recommend applying for the support."
