Advancing the Use of Octet® Label-Free Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI)

Authors: Shuo Liang and David Apiyo | Last updated: November 2023

Overview

A lateral flow assay (LFA) is one of the most common immunoassay formats for in vitro diagnostics (IVD), and antibodies play a critical role. It is important to select the best performing antibodies and to implement analytical techniques that can ensure consistent performance of these antibodies from batch to batch, as the quality attributes of these antibodies and their interaction with antigens affect the test performance of LFAs.

Download the poster to explore the role of Octet®️ BLI systems in LFA development and quality control. Utilizing Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) technology, these instruments provide a real-time, label-free approach for optimal antibody characterization in comparison to end-point ELISA. With scalable high-throughput antibody-antigen interaction analysis, optimal antibody selection and quality control are fast and reliable. Hence, Octet®️ BLI systems are essential for LFA development for IVD. Combined with Sartorius' advanced membrane technologies, we offer a comprehensive solution to accelerate the development and manufacturing of LFAs.
