Hotelling"s T2 Range Batch Control Chart, average and limits should not be removed. (Q404)

Symptoms:

For the Hotelling's T2 Range Batch Control Chart (both under the analysis and prediction menu) the ability to remove the average and to remove the average and normalize the values should NOT be used.

Cause:

The Hotelling T2 has an average that is a straight line and limits computed from distribution and these should not be removed

Resolution:

In the next version of SIMCA^®-P this functionality will be out-grayed for the Hotelling's T2 Range Batch Control Chart.

Status:

Fixed in SIMCA^®-P+ 11.
