Overview
Antibodies are the ideal therapeutic biomolecules due to their ability to bind to a variety of targets with high affinity and specificity. Innovations in hybridoma and phage display technologies have allowed drug developers to exploit the natural diversity in antibodies, leading to wide use of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) in treating cancers, chronic inflammation, and infectious diseases.
Fluorescence-activated single cell sorting (FACS), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) or microscopy methodologies have traditionally played a major role in antibody screening workflows. However, these approaches are labor intensive, time consuming and report only data “snapshots.”
In this white paper, we demonstrate how Incucyte® Live-Cell Analysis Systems provide real-time data and actionable insights for routine functional assays in antibody discovery workflows.
The use of validated Incucyte® reagents and assays streamlines workflows for routine studies in 2D and complex 3D cell models.
