Overview
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are widely used in therapeutic and diagnostic applications due to their specificity and efficacy. Conventional methods for antibody purification use resin-based Protein A affinity chromatography, but this technology has limitations, particularly in terms of low flow rates, long processing times, and limited consumable lifespans. To address these challenges, membrane adsorbers have been developed that offer faster processing and extended reusability, without compromising on binding efficiency or purity.
In this study, we tested the robustness and efficiency of Sartobind® Rapid A Lab - an affinity chromatography unit incorporating a second-generation membrane adsorber - for mAb purification over multiple cycles, at the highest recommended flow rates.
