Guide to Recycling and Responsible Disposal of Filtration and Purification Consumables eBook
Last updated: September 2024
Overview
This guide is based on a literature review of ASTM, ISO and SAC guidelines for material recyclability. It captures data that are most relevant to North America, Europe and China. For our customers in other regions, the material lists - while not conclusive - may still serve as a useful tool to determine the best way to dispose of filtration and purification consumables.
The materials used in each product are listed in tables, which indicate typical recycling performance and whether or not each material can be easily separated for disposal. These tables are intended to assist you in determining the most appropriate method for recycling or responsible disposal of Sartorius laboratory filtration and chromatography products when they have reached the end of their useful life.
Key Takeaways
- Overview of global material recyclability standards
- Product material tables for each filtration and chromatography product
- Indicator of which materials can be separated from each other
- Resin codes to show which materials may be recyclable
