Electricity
- Campus obtains electricity from hydropower
- Basic electricity supply is emission-free
- Additional operation of PV systems
Geothermal Energy
- Own geothermal field (90 boreholes, each 160m deep)
- Heating capacity 1,550 MWh/a (corresponds to ~80 SFH)
- Cooling capacity 1,020 MWh/a
District Heating
- Northern Campus heated with district heating from early 2024
- Connection to Göttingen district heating network planned by 2030 at the latest
