Overview
This study evaluated the impact of uncooled transportation and storage conditions on Nutrient Pad Sets (NPS) from Sartorius and a competitor, using a climatic test chamber to simulate high temperature and humidity environments.
The results demonstrated that Sartorius NPS, protected by a robust double-layer aluminum bag, maintained their quality and performance under these conditions, showing no visual changes or loss of selectivity. In contrast, the competitor's NPS, packaged in transparent plastic, exhibited visual degradation and compromised selectivity, affecting the differentiation between microbial species.
These findings underscore the superior protective capabilities of Sartorius NPS packaging, ensuring consistent performance and microbiological quality control over its 24-month shelf life, even under challenging transportation conditions.
