Maria Voutilainen is Product Manager at Sartorius. In her current position, she is responsible for managing liquid handling consumables in Sartorius’ Laboratory Products and Services portfolio. She has long experience of working with various laboratory instruments and consumables during different phases of the product life cycle. Maria holds a PhD in genetics from the University of Helsinki, Finland.
Christian Weidner
Product Manager, Lab Weighing

In November 2011, Christian Weidner joined Sartorius as a Product Manager in the mass metrology team, overseeing mass comparators and weights. In early 2013, he transitioned to basic and standard laboratory balances, as well as niche market balances. Since January 2024, Christian has been the Manager of Product Management Universal Weighing Solutions, responsible for standard and basic balances, OEM weighing solutions, moisture analyzers, and paint mix solutions.
John Cashman

John trained as a biochemist and initially studied gene regulation during embryonic development. He holds a PhD from the University of Portsmouth and joined Sartorius in 2019 after various roles in academia, where he gained extensive experience in protein purification workflows. John is now responsible for the success of the Sartorius Lab Ultrafiltration portfolio – a range of products that he has used extensively in his research.
