Setting the standard on reproducible performance
The 14th GSCN Conference (9–11 September 2026, Berlin) will bring together leading experts from academia, industry, and clinics to discuss the latest advances in stem cell and organoid research.
Reproducibility is a critical challenge in stem cell research because these living products are highly sensitive to donor variability, cell source, culture conditions, operator handling, and analytical methods, and without it, promising findings cannot be reliably validated or advanced.
At GSCN 2026, Sartorius will showcase how high-throughput technologies, optimized critical raw materials, and intuitive data analytics can accelerate development and enable high-performing, reproducible stem cell processes.
- Explore approaches to reduce variability in stem cell research through automation and consistent critical raw materials.
- See how Incucyte® and CellCelector support reproducibility and time to results through continuous live-cell imaging and image-documented cell isolation.
- Rapid, real-time qPCR mycoplasma detection kits that enable early identification of even VBNC mycoplasma, delivering fast, highly specific, sensitive, and internationally guideline-compliant testing to reduce the risk of false-negative results.
- Discover how to perform process optimisation and scale-up with ease
Unlocking the future of gene-modified cell therapy with non-viral lipid-based transfection
September 10, 2026 | 12:35 PM – 12:55 PM
Beyond LNPs: Redefining nucleic acid delivery with pre-formed vesicles in gene-modified cell therapies
Dr. Nadia Mazzaro will present a talk titled “Unlocking the Future of Gene-Modified Cell Therapy With Non-Viral Lipid-Based Transfection” on September 10th from 12:35 PM – 12:55 PM.
Dr. Nadia Mazzaro is a Scientific Support Specialist at Sartorius (Sartorius Polyplus® site in Illkirch, France), where she supports global customers in viral and non-viral gene delivery and bioproduction applications for advanced therapies. Her work focuses on scientific support, translational vector technologies, external collaborations, and internal R&D initiatives in gene and cell therapy.
She earned her PhD in Neuroscience and Brain Technologies from the University of Genoa and began her career in gene therapy in the laboratory of Alberto Auricchio, where she worked on AAV-based approaches for inherited retinal diseases. Her research experience includes positions at the Italian Institute of Technology, CNRS, and the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine, with expertise spanning neurodegeneration, retinal diseases, AAV gene therapy, and in vivo genome editing.
From variability to reliability in iPSC organoid research
Automated cell selection & live-cell imaging & analysis
From stem cells to advanced cell models, transform biological complexity into reproducible results. CellCelector Flex and Incucyte® CX3 provide an automated, integrated workflow that supports researchers working with iPSCs, organoids, co-cultures and other New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). By combining precise image-based cell and organoid selection with continuous live-cell monitoring, researchers can reduce manual variability, improve traceability, gain deeper insights into cellular development and function, and generate more consistent, physiologically relevant models for disease research, drug discovery and regenerative medicine.
Process development & cGMP manufacturing for advanced therapies
Advanced therapies—including cell and gene therapies, extracellular vesicles, and other emerging modalities—hold tremendous promise for transforming patient care. However, bringing these innovations from discovery to the clinic requires overcoming complex manufacturing, regulatory, and scalability challenges.
Sartorius helps simplify this journey with process development and GMP clinical manufacturing services designed to reduce risk and accelerate ATMP production. Our scientists develop scalable, regulatory-ready processes supported by proven materials, innovative technologies, and deep technical expertise. By streamlining development and manufacturing, we help shorten timelines, improve product quality, and enable cost-effective production of life-changing therapists for patients.
