eBook: Improved Efficiency with Label-Free Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI)

In collaboration with: American Pharmaceutical Review | Last updated: December 2023

Overview

Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) is a label-free technology for measuring biomolecular interactions. As an optical technique, it analyzes the interference pattern of white light reflected from two interfaces: a layer of immobilized protein on the biosensor tip and an internal reference layer. Even the slightest change in the number of molecules attached to the biosensor tip triggers an adjustment in the interference pattern, which can be measured in real time.

The articles in this eBook provide an overview of BLI technology and its pharmaceutical applications. Specifically, the articles explore the use of Octet® BLI systems and how they can be used to modernize quality control (QC) testing, increase efficiency, improve productivity, and meet validation requirements.
