Kristin Thiele

Manager of Molecular Science and Cell Line Technology

Kristin Thiele is a Product Development Manager specializing in Molecular Science and Cell Line Technologies at Sartorius. She leads a team focused on advancing CHO DG44 cell line development platforms, and drives innovation to meet the evolving needs of the biopharmaceutical industry. 

Melanie Mann

Manager of CLD Operations  

Melanie Mann is the Manager of Cell Line Development Operations at Sartorius, where she leads cross-functional teams to drive projects from vector design to research cell bank delivery. Melanie ensures excellence at every stage, delivering fully characterized, scalable cell lines ready for clinical manufacturing. 

Yash Patel, Ph.D.

Product Manager  

Dr. Yash D. Patel is a Product Manager for Cell Line Development at Sartorius and has been with the company since August 2021. He has a PhD in chemical and biological engineering from the University of Sheffield and 15 years of experience in CHO cell line development and engineering. He has worked with CDMOs such as Lonza and collaborated with AstraZeneca to patent novel CLD technology and author numerous publications within the field. 

Christoph Zehe, Ph.D.

Research Fellow  

Christoph Zehe holds a Ph.D. in molecular and cell biology from the University of Heidelberg. He joined Cellca GmbH in 2007 (acquired by Sartorius in 2015), where he helped establish a leading platform technology for generating high-expressing cell lines. From 2011 to 2018, he held various R&D roles and currently serves as a Sartorius Research Fellow, focusing on technology development in synthetic biology, molecular biology, and cell biology.
