Mycap® bottle closures are one-piece, ready-to-use, and single-use aseptic fluid transfer system for bottles. Remarkably, every Mycap® design features our secure platinum-cured silicone seal, despite a diverse range of capabilities and configurations. Mycap® is the first truly universal closure system. Mycap® expands capabilities, removes uncertainty and eases validation. For cell culture passage and expansion without opening flasks or going into the BSC, check out Mycap® CCX.

Webinar: Transform Cell Expansion - Expand Outside the Hood

Sartorius leveraged novel bottle closure manufacturing technology to create Mycap®️ CCX. Mycap®️ CCX combines tubing for aseptic fluid transfer and a specialized gas exchange cartridge for cell growth in the same closure. The cell expansion process is done without unscrewing or removing the cap and without having to go into the BSC. Mycap®️ CCX aims to eliminate contamination risk, stream-line operations by avoiding BSC and bypass the need for wasteful back-up flasks.

Effect of Shaker Speed on Media Foaming and Culture Growth Rates in Erlen- meyer Shake Flasks during Cell Expansion

The Mycap® CCX Cell Expansion System makes passaging outside a biosafety cabinet possible during cell expansion through innovative design. The cap combines tubing for aseptic fluid transfer and a filter cartridge for gas exchange in the cap, pre-assembled on plastic Erlenmeyer shake flasks. Thus, Mycap®️ CCX has the potential: (1) to reduce contamination risks (2) lessen or eliminate reliance on a biosafety cabinet and (3) lower costs by improving process and facility operations.
