Sartorius Feel Your Future event for vocational trainees attended by more than 300 people

Göttingen, October 19, 2018 – At the Feel Your Future event for vocational trainees, high school students, parents and young adults received answers to their questions about starting a future career at Sartorius. Around 300 people interested in exploring vocational education and work-study programs provided by the company had the opportunity to speak directly with vocational trainees and instructors, obtaining insights into more than 25 vocational professions offered at the Göttingen and Guxhagen sites.

Hands-on activities, such as pipetting liquids, soldering workpieces and programming robots, showed the variety of tasks performed by vocational trainees at Sartorius. In addition, three tickets were raffled off for participation in a competitive selection process for a vocational training position at Sartorius. Students explored Sartorius Campus and had a look at their prospective new work environment during a tour through the vocational training workshop. Up-and-coming talent received some tips from Sartorius’ current apprentices about how best to succeed in diverse practical exercises to discover their strengths and in a review of their job application skills. “We are happy that so many students gained an authentic impression of our vocational training,” said Brigitte Wilhelm-Nienaber, Head of Vocational Training at Sartorius.

Sartorius presently trains around 150 young people at its Göttingen and Guxhagen sites in Germany alone. At these sites, the company will be employing more than 55 new apprentices and work-study students for the new year of training that is due to be begin in August 2019.
