On June 3, more than 750 people participated in the "Course des Flammes" in Marseille, France. A fundraising event in support of children with cancer. Among the participants were teams from the Sartorius site in Aubagne, who took part in the challenging races and raised a total of almost 4,000 Euros for the cause.
The welcome, the committed volunteers, the atmosphere – everything was perfect! Well done to all our participants, who never gave up, represented the company and raised money for children in need.
commented Cédric Rouveyrol, Center of Excellence Project Manager at Sartorius in France, who ran the 10-kilometer race.
Participants could choose to take part in a number of different races: a 3 km orienteering race, marked out with clues and beacons to help the runners get further along the course, two other races of 6 and 10 km and a 15km trail through the hills in the northern districts of Marseille overlooking the Château Ricard.
The funds raised by this event will go to the organization "Sourire à la vie", which helps children cope with the cancer diagnosis and accompanies them through their treatment.
