Transition hPSCs From StemFlex™ to NutriStem^® Medium on Matrigel^®

High levels of growth factors cause both positive and negative downstream effects for hPSCs. To mitigate this, cell culture media should contain low amounts of growth factors that scientists can supplement as needed. NutriStem^® hPSC Medium uses minimal amounts of bFGF that maintain pluripotency.

Here’s our suggested protocol for adapting hPSCs from StemFlex™ to NutriStem^® medium. By transitioning gradually and supplementing your medium, you can retain morphology while increasing pluripotency.
