The Supervisory Board appoints and dismisses the members of the Executive Board and monitors and advises the Executive Board. The Supervisory Board is involved in decisions of fundamental importance to the company. In accordance with the German Codetermination Act, the Supervisory Board of Sartorius AG is composed of an equal number of shareholder and employee representatives and currently consists of 12 members.
