Two-dimensional culture systems like roller bottles and cell cubes are well established - but they can be labor-intensive, occupy a large footprint, and increase risk of contamination.

In contrast, impeller-driven bioreactors can help manufacturers control cell growth conditions and avoid contamination through a closed system.

In this application note, we evaluate cell growth on SoloHill Microcarriers and demonstrate how they can scale up into bioreactor expansion of MRC-5 cells.
