Four Steps for a Successful Onboarding
Around 4,500 new people joined Sartorius in 2021, with around 2,600 more that have come aboard in the first half of 2022. A four-step onboarding process aims to help them to quickly settle in, feel welcome and contribute to Sartorius’ vision of enabling “better health for more people”.

New job, new responsibilities, new people, new corporate culture and sometimes even a new industry – starting-off at a new company is always exciting. This is why the Sartorius onboarding process is designed to make things easier for new joiners, help them feel welcome and get up to speed for their new roles.
Step 1 | It All Starts Long Before Day 1
The journey into a new job starts even before the first day of work.
Via the Candidate Portal, new joiners at Sartorius have the chance to get a first glimpse at the company through videos and information material that help them become familiar with the company, its people, culture, and values.
Also, many administrative tasks, such as reading and signing the Code of Conduct and the Anti-Corruption Code or adding information to their personal profile, can be completed here.
Erica Lim, who started in November 2021 as a Sales Representative in Singapore, remembers her pre-onboarding well for a special occasion:
“One of the most memorable moments during the pre-onboarding process was when I was invited to an informal lunch with the manager of General Sales in South-East Asia as well as the HR Recruiting Partner. After lunch, I was very sure that Sartorius was what I was looking for in a company.”
