Our powder buffer manufacturing capabilities cover the entire downstream process steps from flush buffers to depth filtration to chromatography. The two primary packaging options are available in order to match with any mixing systems.

PBS is one of the most used saline buffers in bioprocessing, it is available off-the-shelf from 50L up to 200L and as any buffers it can be customized to match with process requirements in terms of formulation and / or fill volume.

In Bioprocessing, safety of the operators is a critical aspect increasingly outlined by regulatory agencies. This is where Powder Buffers Prefilled Bags help improve environment conditions as it offers a dust-free contained powder handling for mixing.

With a filling precision of ±1%, powder buffer mixing steps can be achieved quickly with fewer steps benefiting from one bag per buffer preparation. Filling capacity ranges from ∼100g up to 20kg in order to offer an optimal level of flexibility for making process buffers.

Our standard, off-the-shelf PBS products comply with most of the downstream applications:

  • Certificate of analysis contain all the relevant information including QC release tests for bioburden, pH (once hydrated), assays for each individual component, endotoxins
  • Ready-to-Hydrate Powder PBS has a 2-year shelf life
  • Safety datasheet
  • Bags can easily be brought inside clean rooms as they are individually double-wrapped in vacuum-sealed protective pouches
