Sartocon Hydrosart® cassettes are characterized by ultra-low protein adsorption, easy cleaning, higher yields, and long product life. Even with repeated use, Hydrosart® ultrafiltration membrane maintains it’s performance without fouling or loss of retention.

Sartocon® cassettes are self-sealing, feature low extractables and the enlarged feed and retentate ports lower system pressure drops.

Sartocon® cassettes are ideally combined with Sartorius Sartocon holders and systems.

Hydrosart® Membrane

Hydrosart® high performance membrane is a stabilized cellulose-based membrane that has been optimized for biopharmaceutical process applications. Hydrosart® is stable across a broad pH range, is extremely hydrophilic, making it non-protein binding, and virtually non-fouling. Membrane depyrogenation can be accomplished by using NaOH even at elevated temperatures. These features make Hydrosart® an ideal membrane for biological applications.

Flow Channel Geometry

The Sartocon® family is available in two flow channel geometry versions. E-Screen filters are dominantly used for protein concentrations up to above 20% as well as viscosity conditions greater than 3 cp. ECO-Screen devices mainly used for water based protein solutions of below 20% protein concentration as well as lower than 3 cp viscosity allow economical optimized filtration runs.

Available Sizes and Cut-Offs

Sartorius Sartocon® and Sartocube® TFF cassettes are available for pilot- and production scale, and in Sartocon® Slice as well as Sartocon® Slice 200 format for reduced volume handling.

Cut-Offs:

E-screen: 2 | 5 | 10 | 30 | 100 | 300 kDa

ECO screen: 10 | 30 | 100 | 300 kDa
