Vivaspin® 20 is recommended for 5 to 20 mL sample volumes and is compatible with swing bucket or fixed angle rotors accepting 50 mL centrifuge tubes. It features twin vertical membranes for unparalleled filtration speed. An integral low-volume dead-stop pocket enables more than 100-fold concentration factors while eliminating the risk of sample loss and simplifying retentate retrieval. Volume graduations on the housing allow ultrafiltration progress to be easily monitored.

For increased process flexibility, Vivaspin® 20 is available with a range of unique accessories. Diafiltration Cups enable continuous diafiltration, for rapid, single-step buffer exchange or sample desalting. In addition, the Air Pressure Controller and fittings allow for centrifuge-free ultrafiltration. Gas pressure ultrafiltration is ideal when an appropriate centrifuge is unavailable (e.g., in field-work applications), for processing single samples, or when handling sensitive samples (e.g., enveloped viruses). For even faster processing, gas pressure filtration can be combined with centrifugation. 'Pressure-fugation' is particularly useful for challenging samples such as serum, or when using a low process temperatures.
