Vivacell® 250 is the device of choice for the concentration of larger biological samples by pressure ultrafiltration and offers numerous advantages when compared to stirred cells. Vivacell® 250 handles a volume range from 50 ml to 250 ml and can - for maximum simplicity - be used in bench top mode or in a refrigerator. Fastest concentration is achieved by use with gentle orbital shaking, at the same time reducing shearing effects. Vivacell® 250 features concentrator modules with vertical membranes in order to minimize fouling. The unique conical dead stop built into the bottom of the membrane insert allows concentration to > 1 ml. Setup of the unit and exchange of membrane inserts are extremely easy, the concentration process can be monitored through an inspection window with volume graduations.

Need for Speed!

Use free standing on a bench top or in a refrigerator for maximum simplicity, or use on laboratory shaker for fastest concentrations. The unique conical dead stop built into the bottom of the membrane insert allows concentrations to under 1 ml. The gentle vortex action controls membrane polarisation whilst greatly reducing the shear effects typical of stirring mechanisms. Set up or membrane replacement takes just a few seconds. Quick connect fittings and simple screw closure further enhance ease of use.
