Intellectual Property Manager (m|f|d)
We are currently seeking an Intellectual Property Manager (m|w|d) for our Intellectual Management Technologies department based at our headquarters in Goettingen, Germany (Sartorius Lab Instruments GmbH & Co. KG). In this position, you will be responsible for the filing, prosecution, maintenance, defense and enforcement of Sartorius´ technical IP rights in the area of computer-implemented inventions and laboratory devices.
What you will accomplish together with us
Responsible for the definition and execution of the IP Strategy for LPS
Freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses for new products and technologies
In-licensing and out-licensing activities / IP-related review of contracts (CDA, MTA, supply agreements, co-development agreements etc.)
Manage IP litigation and invalidity actions against 3rd parties´ IP rights
Monitor 3rd-parties´ IP filings and IP publications
Facilitate IP training/mentoring for staff from Product Development, LPS and Product Management
Support Business Development with assessing the IP potential of new technologies
What will convince us
Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in software development, data analytics, physics or engineering
Qualification as Patent Engineer, German or European Patent Attorney is an asset
Several years of professional experience as an IP Manager
Intercultural competence for working in a multinational team
Team player, ultrafast learner, personal resilience
Fluent in English, German is a plus
