Manager Cell Culture Media Development (m|w|d)
For our Product Development group in the newly created Cell Line, Media and Testing Solutions unit, we are looking for a Manager (m|f|d) Cell Culture Media Development based in Ulm (Sartorius Stedim Cellca GmbH). In this role you will be responsible for leading a laboratory team of scientists for cell culture media development for protein-based therapeutics and viral vector applications.
What you will accomplish together with us
Expand the laboratory team in order to develop processes for protein therapeutics and viral vectors
Plan and deliver development projects for cell culture media applications
Implement novel scientific methods and infrastructure for next generation cell culture media development
Further develop the skills of your team and flexibly allocate team resources according to project priorities
Establish a network with internal and external experts in different biopharma fields
What will convince us
Ph.D. in (bio)chemical engineering, biotechnology, systems biology or related field
Several years of industrial experience in mammalian cell culture or media development
Ability to prioritize team activities across projects in a dynamic matrix setting
Previous leadership experience as team lead or laboratory manager
Familiarity with advanced data analysis methods is a plus
Self-motivated and goal-oriented. Ability to think in new ways and work in a dynamic environment
