Manager Cell Culture Media Development (m|w|d)​

For our Product Development group in the newly created Cell Line, Media and Testing Solutions unit, we are looking for a Manager (m|f|d) Cell Culture Media Development based in Ulm (Sartorius Stedim Cellca GmbH). In this role you will be responsible for leading a laboratory team of scientists for cell culture media development for protein-based therapeutics and viral vector applications.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • Expand the laboratory team in order to develop processes for protein therapeutics and viral vectors

  • Plan and deliver development projects for cell culture media applications​

  • Implement novel scientific methods and infrastructure for next generation cell culture media development​

  • Further develop the skills of your team and flexibly allocate team resources according to project priorities​

  • Establish a network with internal and external experts in different biopharma fields

What will convince us

  • Ph.D. in (bio)chemical engineering, biotechnology, systems biology or related field

  • Several years of industrial experience in mammalian cell culture or media development

  • Ability to prioritize team activities across projects in a dynamic matrix setting​

  • Previous leadership experience as team lead or laboratory manager

  • Familiarity with advanced data analysis methods is a plus

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented. Ability to think in new ways and work in a dynamic environment​
