Filtration Skids

Manual Filtration Skids – Essential Range

The manual filtration skid from the essential range is designed for the clarification and or microorganisms retention before wine bottling. It uses disposable filter cartridges and can also be connected to a Clean In Place (CIP) system.

Two sizes are available:

  • up to 2000 Bottles/hour (Btls/hr)
  • up to 5000 Btls/hr

Applications: Clarification, filtration, micro-organisms retention of white, rosé or red wines, sparkling wines and flavoured wines.

Manual Filtration Skid & CIP System - Essential Range

The video describes the manual filtration skid in operation for the clarification and retention of microorganisms before wine bottling using cartridges.

The main benefits for you are:

  • Process optimization: No wine oxidation with a completely closed filtration system. Filtration for 1, 2 or 3 stages.
  • Repeatability: Reliable bottling and optimization of wine production with integrity checking of final membrane filters.
  • Savings: Longer cartridge life time with individual cleaning of each filtration stage. Limited water loss during sterilization step with recovery circuit.
  • Efficiency and safety: Total process control with temperature and pressure sensors. Water leak valve and fully drainable skids by gas ensure no water comes into contact with wine bottling processes. Wine sampling valve to check the wine quality & filtration performances before bottling.
  • Essential 2.2 S (Basic Model): Manual filtration system without pump – two stages of filtration and prefilter backwash integrated.

Options: High pressure equipment for sparkling wine, Built on wheels (movable skid), Automated sterilization processes, Integrity testing of final filter

  • Essential 2.2: Manual filtration system without pump – two stages of filtration
  • Essential 2.3 : Manual filtration system without pump – three stages of filtration

Options: Prefilter backwash, High pressure equipment for sparkling wine, Built on wheels (movable skid), Automated sterilization processes, Integrity testing of final filter. Other options such as automated dosing of oenological adjuvants can be added when the skid is connected to a CIP system.

  • Essential 5.2 S (Basic Model): Manual filtration system without pump – two stages of filtration and prefilter backwash integrated.

Options: High pressure equipment for sparkling wine, Built on wheels (movable skid), Automated sterilization processes, Integrity testing of final filter

  • Essential 5.2: Manual filtration system without pump – two stages of filtration
  • Essential 5.3 : Manual filtration system without pump – three stages of filtration

Options: Prefilter backwash, High pressure equipment for sparkling wine, Built on wheels (movable skid), Automated sterilization processes, Integrity testing of final filter. Other options such as automated dosing of oenological adjuvants can be added when the skid is connected to a CIP system.

Recommended Filter Cartridges from the Prefiltration Step to the Final Sterile Filtration

  • Prefiltration step with Sartopure® IND 45µm; 0,65µm; 1,2µm; 3µm; 5µm; 8µm; 20µm and 50µm
  • Final filtration step for yeast and bacterial retention with either
    • 1µm and 0,65µm Sartobev®
    • 0,65µm and  0,45µm Sartocool®
    • 0,65µm and  0,45µm Vinosart® PS

CIP System

The CIP System produces and maintains hot water up to 90°C. It supplies filtered water for the filling line (filtration skid, piping and bottling machine) either for cleaning purposes at 50°C or for sterilization at 90°C.

The CIP System optimizes water consumption for the cleaning, rinsing and sterilization phases. It can be connected to a filtration skid and to a bottling machine for flow rates up to 5000 Btls/hr. Exists in 1000, 1500 and 2000 liters.

Available in two configurations:

  •     Basic configuration
  •     Advanced configuration with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) System
