Terms of Payment

  • For standard Products payment terms are strictly within thirty (30)days nett monthly.
  • For capital equipment payment terms will be defined in the quotation/proposal relating to the individual project and negotiated at that time.
  • The Product remains the property of Sartorius Stedim UK Limited until paid for in full.
  • The Company shall be entitled to charge 2.5% interest per month on any outstanding balance.
  • No order which has been accepted by the Company may be cancelled by the Customer, except with the written agreement of the Company and on
    terms that the Customer indemnifies the Company in full against all loss (including loss of profits), costs, damages, charges and expenses incurred by the Company as a result of cancellation.
  • We understand and may exercise our statutory right of interest under the Late Payment of Commercial D ebts (Interest) Act 1998 if we are not paid according to our credit terms.

Quotations & Price

  • Quotations are only valid for 30 days,unless otherw ise stated.
  • All prices are subject to VAT, unless otherw ise stated or covered by a VAT exemption.
  • Customers w ho place orders at the incorrect price will be notified immediately and given the opportunity to cancel or amend without penalty.
  • Product prices are subject to change without notice, unless quoted on a valid quotation, or if the Customers order has been accepted and is being
    processed.
  • Discounts are at the discretion of Sartorius Stedim UK Limited.
  • Unless specified, installation and commissioning is not included in the price of the Product.

Carriage and Delivery

  • Delivery dates given are only approximate and maybe affected by conditions beyond our control. In instances w here stock Products can not be delivered when stated, and whenever the delivery date forms part of the agreed Contract the Customer may cancel or amend the order without penalty.
  • Sartorius Stedim UK Limited should be notified of any part deliveries, non-deliveries or Products found to be damaged on receipt, within seven (7) days of delivery.
  • Carriage charges will be added to the Price quoted, unless otherwise stated.
  • Export consignment will be insured on written request and at the Customer costs.
  • The responsibility for the Product passes onto the Customer upon receipt.

Returns and Refunds

  • Product returns will only be accepted once return authorisation has been given by Sartorius Stedim UK Limited.Contact Customer Service for details of the return procedure.
  • Refunds will not be given to any Customer specific bespoke work completed to the Customers´requirements that is not required as a consequence of the Product being incorrectly specified.

Warranty & Exclusions

  • A warranty period exists for all new Products, other than consumables.The period of warranty is available upon request.
  • The warranty period for ex-demonstration or re-graded stock w ill be decided at the time of sale and confirmed in writing.
  • Tampering by unauthorised personnel w ill invalidate the warranty.
  • Any alterations to the Product and any repairs made by inappropriately qualified engineers may create dangers and defects beyond the control of
    Sartorius Stedim UK Limited.
  • The Customer shall not reject the Goods unless Sartorius Stedim UK Limited has failed to repair and reinstate the Goods w ithin a time period acceptable to the Customer.
  • The warranty period only applies to the original purchaser from Sartorius Stedim UK Limited or its authorised dealers, to whom the new Product w as sold directly by us and is not transferable to any other person.
  • The warranty period is only valid where the Product is used for applications for which it was designed.
  • Failures due to external influences are excluded from this warranty.

Variations

  • Any variation agreed betw een the Company and the Customer in work to be done or Goods to be supplied shall be deemed to be an amendment to this Contract and shall not constitute a new Contract.
