Sartoclear® P Depth filter Modules are especially designed to serve medium scale and large scale volumes from 100 litre and more in cell harvest and clarification applications. Sartoclear® P Depth Filter Modules are available in 12” (1,8 m²) and 16” (3,6 m²) diameter and come with double O-ring (DO) or flat gasket (FA) adapter for the 6 different filtration grades. The cellulose structure forms a 3-dimensional matrix which serves high dirt holding capacities to collect Cells and Cell debris. The added filters aids like diatomaceous earth and resin binder additionally bind contaminants like host cell proteins, colloids and DNA. The use of small scale Sartoclear® P Caps is recommended to screen for the most optimal filter grade per application. Sartoclear® P depth filter products allow a gentle treatment of host cells and thus minimize the release of contaminants like proteolytic enzymes, lipoproteins, host cell proteins and DNA. Sartoclear® P products are also used for applications like growth medium purification, separation of cryo-precipitants and the removal of particles and lipids from serum and plasma applications.
Sartoclear® Depth filter products are validated according to the USP Quality standards for WFI. Detailed information on test methods and specifications can be found in the corresponding validation guide.
All materials of this filter element meet the requirements of USP 26 Biological Reactivity tests <88> for plastics Class VI, (Systemic Injection, Intracutaneous and Implantation tests).
